  2. Copper scrap prices today Copper alloys have been widely used in electrical applications for many years due to their unique properties such as high electrical conductivity, excellent corrosion resistance, and good mechanical properties. There are numerous copper alloys available in the market, but only a few of them are suitable for electrical applications. The best copper alloy for electrical applications is copper-tin-phosphorous (CuSnP), also known as phosphor bronze. This alloy contains 4-9% tin and 0.03-0.35% phosphorus, along with copper as the main constituent. The addition of tin makes this alloy more rigid and improves its strength and wear resistance. The presence of phosphorus gives this alloy excellent electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. Phosphor bronze is widely used in electrical connectors, switches, and relays due to its outstanding performance and competitive cost. This alloy is also used in low-voltage electrical applications as it has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which reduces the risk of damage due to thermal cycling. Other copper alloys that are suitable for electrical applications include copper-nickel (CuNi), copper-tungsten (CuW), copper-chromium-zirconium (CuCrZr), and copper-silver (CuAg). However, each of these alloys has specific properties that make them suitable for a particular application, and the choice of the best copper alloy will depend on the specific requirements of the application Metal scrap logistics Copper scrap industry partnerships Copper scrap sorting Innovative copper recycling Copper cable scrap buyer Metal waste compacting

  3. Copper scrap price fluctuations Copper sulfate is a common chemical used in various industrial and laboratory applications. It is typically produced via a chemical reaction between copper oxide and sulfuric acid. However, using copper metal and acid to produce copper sulfate is not a viable option. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, copper metal is not soluble in most acids, including sulfuric acid. This means that when copper metal is added to sulfuric acid, it will not dissolve or react easily. The reaction between the two substances would be slow and incomplete, resulting in the production of only a small amount of copper sulfate. Secondly, copper metal is easily oxidized, which means it reacts with oxygen in the air and forms a layer of copper oxide on its surface. When copper oxide is mixed with acid, it can react with the acid to form copper sulfate. However, it is difficult to control the amount of copper oxide produced during the reaction between copper and acid. This can lead to variations in the final product and make it difficult to standardize. Thirdly, when copper metal is added to an acid solution, it can produce hydrogen gas. This gas can react with copper ions in the solution and form elemental copper, which is not what is desired. The presence of hydrogen gas can also create a safety hazard, as it is highly flammable and explosive. In summary, producing copper sulfate by reacting copper metal with acid is not a practical or effective method. It is much more efficient to use copper oxide and sulfuric acid to produce copper sulfate, as this provides better control over the reaction and results in a more consistent product Recycling process optimization Copper scrap reclamation Copper recycling supply chain Copper carbonate scrap acquisition Exporting Copper scrap Scrap metal recovery and recycling center
