في مشهد مخيف، اصطدمت طائرة ذات محرك واحد بمبنى سكني في نيو هامبشاير بالولايات المتحدة، مما أسفر عن مقتل كل من كان على متنها، وإطلاق ألسنة اللهب بارتفاع 40 قدما في السماء.
وشوهدت ألسنة اللهب وهي تلوح في الهواء بعد الحادث المروع الذي وقع ليلة الجمعة، بالقرب من مطار كين ديلانت هوبكنز.
وقالت مدينة كين في بيان: “وقع حادث تحطم طائرة بالقرب من مطار كين، في مبنى تقطنه عائلات، بالقرب من هوب تشابل”، وفق ما ذكرت صحيفة “ديلي ميل” البريطانية.
ولم تقع إصابات في المبنى متعدد العائلات، لكن توفي كل من كانوا على متن الطائرة، الذين لم يتضح عددهم حتى الآن.
ومن الواضح أن الطائرة واجهت مشاكل خطيرة، كون مدرج الهبوط كان على بعد نصف ميل فقط من المبنى، لكنها لم تتمكن من الوصول إومن المحتمل أن الطائرة اصطدمت بطرف المبنى ثم استدارت 90 درجة، مما قادها مباشرة إلى الحظيرة.
وقال السكان إن المبنى اهتز بقوة نتيجة الارتطام، لافتين إلى أن الطائرة اصطدمت بمنطقة تخزين، اشتعلت فيها النيران بجوار المبنى السكني الصغير.
واندلعت النيران في الحظيرة المكونة من طابقين، فيما أكدت السلطات أن 8 من المستأجرين في المبنى تمكنوا من الإخلاء في الوقت المناسب ولم يصبوا بوقال روبن غيموند، وهو أحد السكان لـ WCVB: “: “لقد كان الأمر مخيفا للغاية، كنت جالسا على الكرسي وسمعت الانفجار الكبير ثم اهتز المنزل”.
من جانبها، قالت الشاهدة أنجيل براون، إنها “راقبت برعب من نافذة غرفة جلوسها” ما حدث، مضيفة: “سمعت صوت الطائرة ثم سمعت صوت تحطم، قبل أن تنطلق صفارات الإنذار، ورأيت ألسنة اللهب من النافذة الخلفية”.
